Melodic Pop came after I listened to Pure Saturday - "Enough", and as the fact that I am a fans of Pure Saturday and Rocket Rockers. Both of them are the pionners of their genres in Indonesian independent music scene. Pure Saturday has an Indie Pop influence that sounds like The Cure, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, and Wonder Stuff. Rocket Rockers has a Melodic Punk influence that sounds like NOFX, Blink 182, and New Found Glory. It mixed up to be "Melodic Pop", after Pure Saturday song "Enough" from their debut album "s/t Pure Saturday", 1996, is being covered by Rocket Rockers in their debut album "Soundtrack For Your Life", 2000.
